A familiar ‘ping’ in our Facebook inbox revealed a long lost friend’s email. She wanted Meraki to take pictures for her son who was due to turn ‘one’ in a few weeks. We met a few days before the shoot to understand what Bhooshan and Aditi wanted for their lil’ darling — Aryadit – and what they had in mind. Needless to say, we instantly fell in love with the bright-eyed, lower-lip chewing, ever smiling munchkin and knew that this was going to be a fun shoot.
We started off with an afternoon outdoor session, in a children’s play area by their house. Aryadit seemed fresh and cheerful after his afternoon nap, which proved to be a boon for us! Daddy and mommy helped us frame his beautiful smiles and lively personality. Our star for the day enthralled us with his happy giggles as he played on the swings and baby mats.
A little while later we moved indoors and Aryadit decided to stick to a corner by the window. This was challenging since we had very little space to move around and capture his candid moments. We let the tiny tot play with his toys and books while we kept snapping away. Later on, we included mom and dad in the frame for a family session and you could just see the love pouring in from everywhere! He was definitely their blue-eyed baby boy! We didn’t feel like leaving him after we were done with the shoot and so we shot a few more pictures in the lobby when he came to bid us good-bye!
