Oh how we love babies and this one is extra special! Please give it up for ‘Shayan Joshi’–the apple of his parents’ eyes!!
When we reached their gorgeously decorated Pune house over the weekend, the new parents–Shreya and Suchint, looked like they hadn’t slept a wink for the past three months. “He’s a little under the weather … he’s been uneasy and crying off and on”, said his beautiful mom with a tinge of sadness. When we saw him, we instantly fell in love with his peaceful and angelic face.
As we started taking his pictures, we realized he was really unwell and we thought may be we could push this shoot for another time. His parents really wanted this shoot to happen since he was growing up way too fast! So, we stuck around for one more day.
The next day, we tried our luck again and took pictures while Shayan was asleep and those few times when we was awake and not crying. Our heart really went out to the poor, little fellow; he was really uncomfortable and in much pain.
The day was gaining fast on us and it was time for Meraki to come back to its Mumbai base. Shayan fell asleep after what was a very tiring day for him and we began packing up. We were sad that we didn’t get what we wanted out of this shoot and were going back with very little to work with. And then, just like that Shreya came running out of the bedroom saying, “Guys, he’s awake and smiling.” That’s all we needed to hear. We unpacked and got trigger happy and the rest as they say is history!
As we post this today, Shayan has turned one as of yesterday, March 3rd. We wish the munchkin a very happy 1st! Thank you Shreya and Suchint for having faith in us and letting us capture these beautiful moments in your lives …. we have absolutely enjoyed it and we love Shayan to bits! Here’s wishing the three of you’ll immense happiness and love!
