Lakshmi: As we walked into her room, we got our first glimpse of Lakshmi. She was every bit simple, sweet and calm. We couldn’t tell if she was the one getting married because she was at complete ease; her warmth and peacefulness emanated from within. When she laughed, you could almost hear her giggle like a child.
In no time, Lakshmi along with her two close friends got dressed and said a prayer before they were ready to go to the wedding venue. Her loving mom, adoring dad, her sisters and their families, led her there.
Anup: As soon as you meet Anup, it takes you less than 20 seconds to realize that he’s one of the most genuine people you’ve met in your life — cheerful, ever smiling, real and affectionate. The first thing about him that hits you is his positivity—nothing gets him down, nothing! He’s one of the calmest grooms we’ve seen and the simplicity and humility of his thought was evident in his manner.
It took him all of 15 minutes to get ready and look elegant and dressed for his wedding, escorted by his elder brother.
The wedding
As we got to the venue, we could see how loved this couple was! People poured in from everywhere to wish them and meet them. Soon after, the ceremony started and in an emotional moment, her dad walked her down the aisle. We had heard that the couple had put every bit of effort in setting up this marriage, personally. It was very beautifully organized, and with a lot of love. You don’t need to have a mega scale wedding for it to be fabulous!
The choir, the singers and the music charmed everyone and took the wedding up a notch! Anup and Lakshmi then exchanged their rings as a promise to be with each other forever as their parents looked on with tears of joy. The priests prayed over them and blessed them while they lit a lamp to symbolize the beginning of their new journey.
The joy in their hearts reflected as a smile on their faces as they were pronounced husband and wife!
