Let’s face it … even the most well-planned, beautiful and extravagant of weddings can get exhausting. After months of planning, organizing, running around, dealing with relatives, friends, decorators, caterers, designers etc …. all you want to do is sit back and enjoy your honeymoon; together!
One such couple did exactly that ! They escaped to the Maldives! Oh yes! We said it! MALDIVES! The single most spectacular place on this planet ! Imagine, if you can, a private space with a plunge pool overlooking clear blue waters, a large lagoon with exotic fish, white sands, Maldivian sunsets and starlit skies till the end of time. We present an on-location shoot of a newly married couple who celebrated their honeymoon at the Taj Exotica Resort at Maldives.
“Ay” is a very fun loving, down-to-earth person who loves to play ‘Bluff’ and very chivalrously loses to his new bride, “Swats”, at chess (Although we think, she might have a different version of this story!). Swats comes across as very intelligent lady with a caring heart. Her sleek frame can throw you off guard but don’t let it fool you; this one can be quite the go-getter and will whack a mean punch if need be! They met and fell in love in the US and soon after, decided to take the plunge. They had a gorgeous wedding and their next stop was the honeymoon with sweeping views of the turquoise waters and coral reefs!
We started our shoot early evening and the couple was very accommodating, eager and up to try out a few shots! We need to mention that they were particularly brave to do the shots that required them to be out in the lagoon waters with – albeit small – sharks spotted in the same waters! We had quite a few laughs on our way with this lovesick couple.
